We are looking for an LMS Data Management Advisor for a 12-month contract position, with possible extensions in Calgary, Alberta.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Hybrid schedule, at least 4 days in the office. 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. It is NOT a remote role.
Role Description
The LMS Data Management Advisor will ensure the seamless management, maintenance, and utilization of data within our client’s Learning Management System (LMS).
The Advisor is a key role responsible for reviewing and optimizing the data management processes within the Learning Management System (LMS).
This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and usability of data; enabling the organization to make informed decisions and enhance the overall learning and training experience.
This is a technical role, which requires a high level of technical knowledge, customer service and partnerships both within the business and HR.
The Advisor should also possess strong leadership skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide guidance, and foster a cohesive team atmosphere while supporting other team members in achieving common goals.
Responsibilities
- Standardize data formats for learning content, reports and other information contained in the LMS.
- Identify and remove duplication across courses and learning records.
- Identify missing or incomplete data fields, such as incomplete user profiles, incomplete course information, or missing completion statuses.
- Validate the data against reliable sources, and correct inaccuracies or add missing information.
- Purge or remove irrelevant or obsolete data in the LMS.
- Perform data integrity checks to identify any inconsistencies or errors in the LMS data.
- Validate the LMS data against external sources, such as HR records or certification databases, to ensure data accuracy and alignment.
- Reconcile the LMS data with other systems or reports to identify any discrepancies or inconsistencies.
- Participate in creating a cohesive team atmosphere as well as providing support to other team members.
Required Skills and Experience
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, or a related field of study.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in data management or data science.
- Proven experience in data management, preferably in the context of Learning Management Systems.
- Experience with Workday Learning considered an asset.
- Competent with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Communication skills to be able to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
