KEY OBJECTIVE :

The Accounts Receivable Analyst is primarily responsible for effectively managing the overall collection process per their assigned portfolio as well as fostering and maintaining strong relationships with internal / external customers.

It is also critical that the individual is analytical and demonstrates that they can proactively achieve individual and department goals and objectives.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Manage the collection process of Agency Billed Premium Receivables for Global and National accounts;
  • Work closely with customers to identify and manage payment discrepancies;
  • Effectively escalate collection disputes and other issues that can hinder monthly cash flow expectations;
  • Monitor and ensure that payments are detailed and allocated within the same month in order to generate accurate monthly Broker Statements;
  • Proactively work towards achieving monthly targets and departmental collection goals with minimal write offs and Over 90 Day balances;
  • Build positive customer service relationships with internal / external parties to better understand the various lines of business to improve overall collections and process knowledge;
  • Miscellaneous other tasks as assigned.
  • Completion of College diploma / University degree in Commerce, Business Administration or Accounting;
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of professional work experience in Accounts Receivable P&C (Agency Bill) environment is highly desired;
  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and other business management programs such as PeopleSoft would be considered an asset;
  • Well organized, with high degree of initiative in order to prioritize, multi-task, maintain flexibility and ultimately meet and exceed deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Demonstrated high level of responsiveness, customer service and efficiency when working with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and aptitude for evaluating, analyzing and interpreting detailed information, including high degree of comfort in working with numbers;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
