About the Job :

We are currently seeking a UI / UX Designer for a challenging experience-based internship to contribute to an innovative and groundbreaking project in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

You will have the unique opportunity to participate in a fully immersive internship where you will contribute to the design and user experience of AI-driven products.

This is designed largely as a remote placement but can also be a hybrid internship (Chicago or Toronto). In this engagement / applied learning internship, you'll gain unparalleled experience in a high-growth, dynamic environment, directly interfacing with senior management and contributing to transformative design projects.

It will be a demanding internship and will require you to bring the best version of yourself to the table, but for those who embrace this, it will be a richly rewarding experience as well as a great complement to your academic investment.

What You'll Do :

• Design visually engaging, user-centered interfaces for AI-powered products, ensuring every detail of the user experience is thoughtful and intuitive.
• Focus on visual hierarchy, interaction design, and overall aesthetics to create interfaces that are not only functional but also impactful and delightful to use.
• Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure design integrity throughout the development process, advocating for design excellence at every stage.
• Create detailed wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for both desktop applications and mobile platforms, ensuring consistency across different devices and touchpoints.
• Conduct in-depth user research, gather insights, and perform usability testing to inform and continuously refine your designs, ensuring they are driven by user needs and behaviors.
• Stay ahead of design trends and emerging technologies, pushing the boundaries of design to keep the product fresh, innovative, and competitive.

About You :

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's level university program in fields such as User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating your UI / UX design skills, including examples of wireframes, prototypes, and final designs.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, or similar.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Analytical mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and implementing best practices.
• Excellent communicator who can articulate design rationale clearly and effectively, whether in one-on-one discussions or larger presentations.
• Proficient communication in English (both verbal and written) is required.
