Job Summary

Thesuccessful candidate will serve as the Companys foremost expert inDownstream strategy providing insight and recommendations to theDownstream Finance Strategy & Planning function the DownstreamPresident and other members of Downstream Management.

They willindependently initiate research on a wide variety of topicsrelevant to the Companys competitive advantage in the Downstreambusiness and prepare research and analyses as required byDownstream executive management the Downstream Investment &Strategy Committee or other Corporate Committees.

This will includeanalysis of developments in technology geopolitics sustainabilityand other relevant regulations Saudi Arabias government plans andthe Downstream industry in general.

Additionallythe incumbent will participate in the formulation and maintenanceof the overarching Downstream strategy as well as in the managementof Downstream strategy execution.

This involves collaborating inthe formulation of strategies for the Downstream businessestranslating the strategies into investment plans for capitalplanning purposes as well as into business plans for overallresource planning purposes and KPI monitoring.

The incumbent willfurthermore lead and / or collaborate in strategic projects toexecute decisions resulting from strategic analyses.

The role requires the building and maintaining of strongrelationships with subject matter experts across the Company aswell as from think tanks and other industry advisory bodies inorder to keep abreast of key developments in the Downstreambusiness globally as well as other arenas that could impact theThis Company Downstreams competitive performance.

Furthermore therole requires outstanding analytical and storytelling skills aswell as change management experience. Previous experience in thefields of Carbon Management and ESG reporting will be considered aplus.

Responsibilities :

• Serve as the Companys top expert in Downstreamstrategy offering guidance and insight on Downstream businessmatters.
• Act as the Corporate Advisor forDownstream business affairs providing counsel to Downstream FinanceStrategy & Planning function the Downstream President and othermembers of Downstream Management.
• Prepareresearch and analyses for Downstream executive management theDownstream Investment & Strategy Committee or other CorporateCommittees.
• Collaborate within a team ofstrategists to articulate the overall Downstream strategy for theCompany and formulate outlook scenarios.
• Collaborate within a team of strategists and planners todevelop Downstream longerterm strategic plans includingcapital / resource allocation plans.
• Establishstrong relationships with subject matter experts across the Companyas well as from think tanks and other industry advisory bodies tostay updated on key developments in the global Downstream businessand other relevant areas.
• Conduct independentresearch on various topics to explore longterm scenarios impactingthe Companys competitive advantage in the Downstream business.

Prepare research special studies and analyses for the StrategicCouncil and other Corporate Committees as required.

Lead or participate in strategic projects aimed atexecuting decisions resulting from strategic analyses.

Requirements :

• This role required candidate topermanently relocate at Dhahran SaudiArabia.
• Hold a Masters degreein Engineering Economics Business Administration AccountingFinancial Management or related fields.
• Demonstrate continuous professional development throughpersonal study relevant work experiences seminars professionalnetworking and extension courses steadily advancing expertise inrespective areas.
• Accumulate a minimum of 15years of experience in refining chemicals trading and retailmarketing business preferably with an international integrateddownstream company or a global energy think tank / consulting firm.

Of this experience at least 5 years should involve strategyformulation scenario planning and / or strategic planning.

Possess excellent English communication and storytellingskills both written and oral alongside experience in changemanagement.
