Job Summary

We areseeking a Sr. Operations Engineer who has a strong chemicalsbackground to join East Hub Division of the LTC Business &Project Development Department to perform optimization of theexisting refinery and chemicals sites integration;

evaluation andselection of licensors for refinery upgrader complex pure gasEthane Cracker Mixed Feed Steam Cracker C4 coproducts and pygasbased Aromatics Complex while ensuring safety and environmentalcompliance.

Sr. Operations Engineer will be part of the ProjectDevelopment & Technology team reporting to the Manager and workclosely with other refinery and chemical engineers.

The candidatewill ensure implementation of work in accordance with the projectscope set plans and handle contingencies that arise duringexecution.

Responsibilities :

• Evaluate and screen a range of technologyoptions to determine the most suitable for the BaselineConfiguration.
• Align the level of detail andsources of technology input needed for LP evaluation opex analysisand major considerations in defining the facilitiesscope.
• Review the details and inputs oftechnology options and analyze the outputs from the LP modelincluding process yields qualities and opex.
• Define the Process technology road map and establish atimeline for engaging with technologylicensors / providers.
• Outline PreFEED / FEEDplans and deliverables related to the facility designbasis.
• Lead the evaluation and screeningprocess of technology options considering technical feasibilityeconomic viability and other relevant factors.
• Provide technical inputs on the selected technologies andconduct sensitivity analyses.
• Identifyopportunities for collaboration with thirdpartyvendors / suppliers.
• Liaise with thirdpartyvendors / suppliers to gather necessary information and assess theircapabilities.
• Collaborate with licensors todevelop and analyze commissioning prestartup and startup activitiesand sequencing for the refinery and chemicals complex.
• Participate in hazard studies and analyses such as HAZOPto ensure safety and mitigate risks.
• Supportthe Government Engagement workstream and GHG Abatement Readinessworkstream by contributing to the development of technicaldocuments technology assessment and capital efficiencyconsiderations.

Requirements :

• This role required candidate topermanently relocate at Dhahran SaudiArabia.
• Hold a minimum of aBachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized andapproved program.
• Possess a minimum of 15years of experience in the Refining & Chemicals business with afocus on integration.
• Demonstrate previousexperience in Project Engineering Design and Execution for refineryand chemicals plants.
• Have expertise inRefineryChemicals integration management.
• Possess experience and familiarity with refineryoperations and residue upgraders.
• Haveknowledge and experience in the selection and analysis of processlicensors for Ethane Mixed Feed Steam Cracker derivatives andaromatics.
• Understand chemical process yieldsand qualities.
• Possess a comprehensiveunderstanding of economics and capital efficiency in the Refining& Chemicals industry.
• Have experience inthe development of chemicals facility scope basis.
• Demonstrate expertise in the development of refinery orchemicals capital projects particularly in the PreFEED / FEEDstage.
• Understand molecule optimization andsynergy integration in the Refining & Chemicalssector.
