ABOUT OUR CLIENT :
Founded in 1997, our client, an international leader in the design, production and installation of refrigeration equipment for supermarkets and food and beverage retailers is currently looking for an experienced Technical Sales Representative.
The ideal candidate will be based in Edmonton or Calgary, and will be responsible for the territory of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
This position will require some overnight travel to manage, grow and maintain existing customers as well as acquire new customers.
This position relies on solid sales experience, and judgement to accomplish sales goals as well as a demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals to achieve sales targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Travel within the assigned territory, including overnight travel.
- Focus sales efforts by calling on current customers throughout the assigned sales area.
- Build and support relationships with key customers.
- Prospecting and developing new customers.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education.
- Attend trade shows, professional seminars, and internal company events.
- Achieve sales targets as established by the organization.
- Technically proficient and mechanically inclined. Must be able to assist clients with technical questions related to equipment, installations, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Minimum 5-7 years of professional outside sales experience.
- Post-secondary education or combination of education and previous professional sales experience will be considered.
- Experience, knowledge and current relationships in the retail supermarket and food and beverage industry.
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
- Team player with a positive and professional attitude.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communications.
- Superior ability to build and grow business relationships.
