Business / Quality - Technical Systems Analyst Azure Cloud Architecture

Downtown Toronto (Hybrid work arrangement)
Our client is deploying an enterprise data Lakehouse on Azure cloud architecture and requires a business analyst / quality assurance technical systems analyst to meet data ingestion pipeline delivery targets.
Key Responsibilities
Within an in Azure DevOps (ADO) agile scrum environment, provides business and information systems analysis and quality assurance testing services to a team of data engineers and data architects. This includes :
- meeting with stakeholders to identify, gather, and document business objectives and requirements for data lake work within ADO user stories,
- creating Test Plans within ADO as part of test-driven-development cycle, and executing them through to customer signoff,
- raising Bugs and actioning them to remediation, working with business experts, developers and architects as needed, and
- updating the data lake product description (wiki documentation) within ADO as required.
Skills and Experience Required
Competencies required include :
- 5+ years of experience gathering requirements and testing functionality of data-related products in a complex work environment, preferably in an Azure or similar cloud environment
- 2+ years experience working with ADO or similar work management platforms, including test plans, bugs, and user stories.
- Knowledge of agile scrum and devops practices is an asset.
- Demonstrated experience gathering requirements in data lake / warehouse / migration projects, within an agile environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of test-driven development best practices, and experience developing test plans & executing them for data lake / warehouse projects that utilize the Azure data platform / ecosystem.
- Demonstrated experience in complex technical environments and industries, such as energy / utilities, or similar (oil / gas, financial, similar large organizations)
- Demonstrated knowledge of Azure DevOps platform and related Azure data technology stack, or similar cloud data technologies.
