Job Description

Overview : Hexagon is seeking a talented Technical Manager to join our multi-faceted team supporting the Public Safety Dispatch Portfolio across North America.

The Technical Manager will oversee all technical aspects and resources to drive organizational growth and efficiency.

Description :

The Technical Manager is afront-linerole with delivery and operations responsibility over the following areas :

  • I / CAD and OnCall Dispatch COTS Delivery
  • Delivery process engineering
  • Personnel management and supervision
  • Personnel development

More specifically, this position is responsible for the successful delivery of services related to the Hexagon I / CAD and OnCall Dispatch Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) products.

The Technical Manager provides technical oversight and guidance to a team of direct reports which execute project related tasks.

The Technical Manager coordinates with Project Mangers to resolve project issues, adapt and adjust resources schedules as needed, provide technical guidance to customer teams, and handle issue escalations.

The Technical Manager is also responsible for the management of personnel, including participation in staffing decisions, performance reviews, and career development.

The Technical Manager reports directly to the Technical Director of CAD Service Delivery.

Additional Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement technical guidelines, standards, and procedures ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Manage development, maintenance, and security of systems, applications, and infrastructure.
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales support to the Sales Team, including needs analysis, creation / review of Statements of Work, and response to technical RFPs and RFQs.
  • Cultivate constructive relationships with customers, direct reports, and other managers.

Qualifications

Requirements :

  • Degree or diploma specializing in Geo Sciences, Computer Sciences, Engineering or a related technical discipline with 5 or more years of applicable experience.
  • 5 years of experience leading technical teams in medium to large organizations.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience managing projects of moderate size and complexity.
  • Innovative mindset with a proactive approach to improving processes.
  • Self-directed with a commitment to achieving results and continuous learning.
  • Ability to recognize and leverage individual strengths for team success.
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction and quality service.
  • Familiarity with project management software, database management, and system administration.
  • Experience managing remote employees and collaborating with global teams.
  • Ability to obtain a US Work Visa.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.
