Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division, is looking for a Field Applications Engineer - Agriculture to join our team, focusing on our EMEA region.
Reporting to the Applications Engineering Manager, Agriculture, the role will help drive precision agriculture development forward by supporting some of the biggest names in the agricultural industry, as well as the Agricultural Sales team, and ensuring their success.

This position is with Hexagon’s Autonomy & Positioning division, a global technology leader, pioneering end-to-end solutions industry leaders rely on for assured positioning and autonomy on land, sea and air.
Our work touches every aspect of life, from sustainability on Earth to enabling autonomy. Within the Autonomy & Positioning division your work will contribute to the operation of our brand(s) NovAtel, AutonomouStuff, VERIPOS and Antcom.
The Location : Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. As this position is focused on our EMEA regional market, the role can be home-based in the EU or UK, or based out of our Hexagon A&P office in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Responsibilities
As Field Applications Engineer - Agriculture , responsibilities include :
- Provide technical assistance, customer training, demonstrations, and technical sales support to some of the biggest names in the industry
- Prepare and delivering technical presentation material
- Provide frequent support to agricultural events and trade shows
- Liaise with other departments regarding technical matters
- Formulate and implementing procedures and plans for resolving problems
- Perform software testing, verification, bug reports, and field trial coordination
- Review technical documentation materials and manuals
- Generate application notes, integration guides and other content to answer frequently asked questions from customers and contributing to the overall knowledge of the team
Qualifications
Must-Have :
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering, Technical or Agriculture-related field, or equivalent experiene
- 5+ years of experience in a technical customer support or sales role, or related industry experience
- A solid understanding of precision agriculture and GNSS technology, products and services
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
- English fluency with excellent verbal and written skills
- Proficient in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Salesforce
- Able to travel up to 50% of the time, including internationally

Nice-to-Have :
- First-hand experience utilizing precision agriculture systems
- Experience working directly with OEM customers, preferably in the delivery of support or services in a Precision Agriculture application
- Experience in GNSS and INS systems installation and / or troubleshooting in precision agriculture related applications
- Experience in CAN bus and / or ROS (Robot Operating System)
- Experience in sensor fusion, including GNSS / INS with camera, LiDAR / Radar or DMI
- Crop production background or experience
