Software and Data Developer:
On behalf of our Crane Services client, Procom is searching for a Software and Data Developer for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Edmonton office.

Software and Data Developer - Job Description:
The Software and Data Developer will be involved in developing and maintaining business applications and data systems to support operations and decision-making. The project involves building scalable software solutions, performing data analysis, and ensuring data integrity and accessibility across platforms.

Software and Data Developer - Responsibilities:
• Responsible for scalable and robust software development, as well as performing troubleshooting and analysis to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Build and maintain scalable data solutions that automate the extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources into a unified data platform.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including functional specifications, use cases, and system diagrams.
• Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases to verify that solutions align with business requirements and adhere to quality standards.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues and defects.
• Provide expertise on software solutions and data management.

Software and Data Developer - Mandatory Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software and data engineering.
• Proficient in designing and developing applications using .NET, C#, Python, or comparable programming languages.
• Highly proficient in SQL, with expertise in complex queries and data manipulation.
• Experience in implementing data modeling and system integration techniques.
• Proficient in managing tasks and documentation using platforms like Jira and Confluence.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.

Software and Data Developer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with Dynamics CRM and Dynamics F&O.
• Experience working in global organizations.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• Experience with unified data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric or Snowflake.
• Experience leveraging Power BI for business intelligence.

Software and Data Developer – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.

Software and Data Developer - Start Date:
January 2026.

Software and Data Developer - Assignment Location:
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Hybrid role with three office days in Edmonton each week.
