Material handler Jobs in Barrie, ON

We are seeking reliable and hardworking Material Handlers to join a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment. This position involves physically demanding work, including heavy lifting, material handling, and supporting various warehouse operations.

Successful candidates must be comfortable working in a team environment, following safety procedures, and performing repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.

Pay Rate

• Day Shift: $20.00/hour
• Afternoon Shift: $20.75/hour

Shift Schedule

• Days: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Afternoons: 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, sort, and move products as required
• Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the shift
• Assist with warehouse organization and general housekeeping
• Follow workplace safety procedures and company policies
• Work efficiently to meet productivity goals
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Support other warehouse duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to perform heavy lifting on a regular basis
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Strong attention to safety and safe work practices
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift
• Willingness to work overtime when required

Safety & PPE Requirements

Required PPE:

• CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots

All employees will receive workplace safety orientation and training before beginning work.

Working Conditions

Candidates may be exposed to:

• Repetitive lifting and physical labour
• Noise from warehouse equipment
• Temperature fluctuations depending on the work area
• Fast-moving warehouse traffic and equipment
• Repetitive movements and standing for extended periods

Safety Expectations

Employees are expected to:

• Lift safely using proper techniques
• Follow all workplace safety procedures
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and equipment traffic
• Keep work areas clean to prevent slips, trips, and falls
• Use PPE as required
• Report hazards, injuries, and safety concerns immediately
