  • Act as the Engineering team’s point of contact and decision maker for design standards, engineering processes, and team workflows, ensuring these practices are clearly communicated, consistently applied, and aligned with cross-departmental needs.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Deep understanding of mechanical design and engineering, including mechanism analysis, GD&T, FEA, DFM, DFMEA, PLM, thermal simulation, testing and validation.
  • Strong understanding of the New Product Introduction process, with proven experience managing hardware development through the full product lifecycle from concept, prototyping, verification, validation, and production transfer through to mass production.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of people management and/or technical leadership experience (managing or supervising engineering teams).
  • Experience with high-volume production for industrial products.
  • Possess designation or similar professional credentials.

Skills:

  • Strong CAD design skills.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to align Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and external parties on design requirements, process expectations, and product development deliverables.
  • Ability to oversee the design of complex mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Capacity to manage team workload, prioritize, and delegate tasks.
  • Ability to coordinate with external parties while representing Engineering’s decisions on design standards, development processes, and workflow expectations.
  • Proven ability to manage and execute departmental plans and budgets spending.
  • Capability to lead cross-departmental product development initiatives and drive alignment from early concept definition through design release, production readiness, and mass production support.
