Our FYiDoctors - Markham clinic is looking for an Optical Associate , a full‑time role working 30-40 hours per week. The clinic operates Monday to Saturday .
Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients into the clinic, providing excellent customer service and fostering a positive patient experience
- Educating clients about the best eyewear choices for their lifestyle, ensuring they receive the best in value and quality
- Informing patients about advances in corrective eyewear solutions and assisting with the selection of frames to suit aesthetic and performance needs
- Interpreting optical prescriptions as written by an optometrist
- Performing frame and facial measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning, and carrying out repairs and adjustments for returning patients
- Placing contact lens orders and assisting with fittings
- Communicating with patients in person, by phone, and by email
- Billing patients, their medical service providers, and other third parties
- Managing appointment bookings, prescription printouts, billing, and payments
