The Role
We are seeking a highly qualified IT Support person to join our IT Team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge, end user problem-solving skills, with demonstrated experience in support, and thrive in a collaborative, team-based setting.
Responsibilities
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners.
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
- Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone).
- Setting up accounts for new users.
- Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary.
- Testing new technology.
Qualifications and Skills
- 2+ years of experience in IT technical support / System Administration.
- Industry certifications in Microsoft is an asset.
- Good knowledge of how to manage and maintain Windows Server Systems including on-premise Active directory , DHCP and DNS .
- Good knowledge on Azure AD and services.
- Virtualization and VMWare setup and maintenance is an asset.
- Basic understanding of SQL queries , backup and maintenance plans.
- Basic understanding of Backup systems, MSP360 , Datto or similar.
- Basic routing and switching skills, Mikrotik routers are an asset.
- Being able to work with remote and monitoring systems, Kaseya is an asset.
- Experience with Google Workspace or Salesforce would be beneficial not necessary.
- A technical, logical thought process, collaborative and lifelong learner mindset.
- Problem-solving skills.
- An ability to stick to strict deadlines.
- An ability to prioritize and delegate.
- A keen eye for detail.
