They demonstrate high judgement and can communicate trade-offs eloquently to very high level stakeholders who have limited background in the deep technical challenges.

As part of the senior leadership team on Ads Campaign Management team your ideas and insight will help chart the course for the future of Amazon Ads.

Ads is now a $40B business, and a major contributor to the ad tech industry. Your influence on Amazon Ads can have long term, industry-wide impact that you can be proud of for many years to come.

In this role, you will own the vision, roadmap, business reporting, and product planning for the Campaign Manager business, supported by Senior SDMs, TPM, Sr SDEs, and SDM partners.

You'll organize resources, prioritize investment, and craft the long term strategic plan. You'll partner with the User Experience group to drive both research and design projects that make Campaign Manager is easier to use.

In your "Technical" capacity, you'll help diagnose bottlenecks in how peers integrate with your features, helping them move faster and delight more customers.

You'll also wear a strategic hat, as you think through how advertisers use Campaign Manager and propose new experiences that improve their workflows on how they manage and optimized their ads.

Better yet, you'll be empowered to test-and-learn what experiences work best for users, and that insight may last you a lifetime.

A day in the life

As the PPM-T on Campaign Manager you might start one of your days by glancing at your dashboards, to understand what customers are using and identify areas for a deeper dive later.

You would note this data for use in a later "Weekly Business Review" meeting, where you'll walk senior leaders through your KPIs and explain how your strategic engineering investments are driving results.

You might next meet with your team, helping go through Sprint Planning and celebrating key accomplishments. By identifying patterns of long-term investment and short-term win, you'll guide your teams to higher impact.

You might then join a recurring partner forum, where you meet with key internal development leaders and review how they are integrating with your tools.

By leading the meeting and encouraging others to share their thoughts, you'll identify patterns that your team can address.

Writing documents is a big part of an Amazonian's job, and as the PPM-T you might spend part of your day working on your 3 Year Plan, asking yourself, 'what do I know about my customers this year that I didn't know last year,' among other key questions.

It will be exciting to present this document to senior leaders across Ads and sell your broader vision for the business.

Mentorship may also be a key part of your day. You might coach someone that your team identified as a great investment, but also you'll find your own emerging stars to grow.
