The Senior Manager Technical Program Management is a functional leader responsible working directly with the general manager and director of product management to execute on their Vision to drive new software solution development cross-functionally and release solutions to the market that delight our customers.

In this role, you will lead a group of program managers and other functions that operate across all levels of the company in realizing our company’s Vision.

As a technical and solutions expert, you are responsible for leading agile cross-functional global teams consisting of Systems and SW Engineers, Test Engineers, Operations, etc.

from initial concept to deployment.

You will meet and / or exceed complex program goals for product performance, quality, regulatory compliance requirements, cost, schedule and development budget.

Given our multitude of design and development partners, you will be directly involved in negotiations related to Business Development and Legal.

Responsibilities :

  • Defines strategic initiatives to align the business to agile product development.
  • Works closely with Portfolio Management to ensure strategic goals align and are represented in the innovation feature roadmap.
  • Leads development of business plans, strategies and approaches to capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Manages teams and program managers in both North America and APAC.
  • Anticipates and addresses complex obstacles or issues and adjusts plans as needed
  • Drives execution of solutions inclusive of concept definition, requirements validation, architecture specification, and governance compliance to our Application Lifecycle Management framework.
  • Balances scope, schedule and budget considerations to adjust roadmap projects with minimal impact to the business.
  • Establishes standards of performance across programs that are typically complex in nature with cross-functional teams in North America and APAC.
  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, increase efficiency and accelerate time to market.
  • Works independently with business in defining proof of value and customer’s return on investment.
  • Leads system integration planning, release management, and planning for demonstrations, proof of concepts and pilots.
  • Leads cross functional workstreams and drives execution for sales enablement, development and deployment.
  • Independently builds relationships and works across all relevant areas of the solution business

including Sales, IT, Finance, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Service Support.

Organizes and presents business, technical and program reviews / status to Senior Leadership using

digital media, dashboards and JIRA agile project management tools.

  • Motivates project teams ensuring solutions are reliable and of quality
  • Demonstrates advanced understanding of development processes and product launch scope and activities
  • Leads strategic partnerships with technology companies (including startups) that are developing

adjacent new cutting-edge solution elements. Partners with Zebra Ventures to identify entities that are

added-value to your business and solutions.

  • Recognized as an "expert" in the business function and processes in which the program is operating
  • Develops and protects intellectual property; be well versed with IP fundamentals.
  • Partners with human resources and exercises knowledge of performance improvement plans (PIP), corrective actions, and other company policies, etc.
  • Strength in hiring, recruiting, managing, developing, coaching, and retaining individuals and teams.

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications :

  • BS Electrical Engineering or related technical degree, or Computer Science degree. MS preferred
  • Minimum 12+ years' in Engineering / Program management and Scrum Master experience for products in fast paced environment including minimum 2 years in a management capacity required.
  • Cloud application experience (i.e. GCP, AWS, Azure); have developed and launched Cloud applications required.
  • Excellent program management skills required.
  • Demonstrated experience building strategic roadmaps and managing annual budgeting required.
  • Experience in Scaled Agile methodolgy required.
  • Advanced expertise working independently and as part of a team to solve difficult technical, quality, cost, and schedule challenges required.
  • Expert in risk management practices required.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Android application experience strongly preferred
  • PMP preferred
  • Experience with Lean Start-up
  • Ability to bring and execute new and innovative ideas to the market
  • Strong strategic leadership and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Solid critical thinking and questioning skills
  • Experience leading large cross-functional teams
  • Self-motivated, results driven, manages risks, and thrives in an environment of uncertainty and continuous innovation
  • Able to drive definition and creation of solutions from skeleton use cases
  • Experienced team builder, great at collaboration and managing resources; proven interpersonal skills
  • Advanced expertise with software development best practices including Scaled Agile, TDD and Continuous

Integration; a track record of applying these methodologies

  • Ability to translate customer problems into solution requirements
  • Advanced expertise with Cloud development and Software / Services development integration
  • Some travel may be required (domestic & international)-10-20%
