Precision Castparts Corporation is a leading global supplier to the aerospace industry. We have a current opportunity for a Raw Material Buyer to join our PCC Woodbridge, Ontario Team.

We are looking for a Team player, who takes pride in delivering quality work and providing exceptional results for our customers.

Responsibilities :

• Process Shop / MRO Purchase Order requests and create the PO’s needed.
• Process production PO’s as needed.
• Work with suppliers for quotes for shop / MRO items, as needed.
• Update Purchase Orders as needed, for pricing, qty, and promise dates.
• Send out and follow up on supplier Open Order Reports (OOR).
• Update Visual system with the Promise dates provided from the suppliers (from the returned OOR’s).
• Update 5 Day report with the Promise Dates / Notes from the suppliers (from the returned OOR’s).
• Send out received OOR’s to the Buyer’s for review.
• Maintain Supplier Contact list.
• Assist in communicating with Suppliers via email or phone for updates, as required.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

• Some post secondary credit technical training from an accredited institution or 6 months experience in purchasing or supply chain field (or 1 year experience in direct buying and sourcing) an asset
• Exceptional written and verbal communication / documentation skills
• Ability to efficiently multi-task and schedule priorities
• Self-motivated, detail oriented, and the ability to process confidential and / or controlled information
• Experience using Microsoft Excel
• Effective management of the quality and on time delivery evaluations
• Excellent interpersonal, attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Superior organizational skills and planning skills
• Ability to work autonomously and with little direction
• Ability to present themselves in a professional manner
