Reporting to : Manager of Speech Language and Hearing Services Description :

The successful applicant will provide assessment and consultative services to support a varied caseload of students with a range of communication delays or disorders;

from nonverbal students to highly verbal students who present with social communication deficits, and will also include students with autism.

The responsibilities will include collaborative consultation using an interdisciplinary team approach. In addition, the successful candidate will provide clinical supervision of support personnel who provide direct intervention to students.

The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to develop and present in-services for teaching and support staff.

Qualifications :

Current Registration with CASLPO

Experience working in an educational setting

Experience using a collaborative consultation service delivery model

Experience in Augmentative / Alternative Communication (AAC)

Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders

Experience in using Social Thinking concepts and programs

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Valid Ontario Driver's License and own reliable transportation

Salary : Category 10 & 11 (C.U.P.E. Local 3396) ($85,796 - $100,981)
