Position Overview :
As the Bar Manager at Prequel, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our bar operations. You will work closely with our bartenders, staff, and management team to maintain the highest standards in cocktail preparation, customer service, and bar organization.
Your leadership will play a pivotal role in shaping the atmosphere and success of our establishment.
Key Responsibilities :
Cocktail Program Management :
Develop and curate an innovative cocktail menu working alongside our beverage director that reflects current trends and seasonal ingredients.
Ensure consistency in cocktail preparation, presentation, and quality.
Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships to maintain a well-stocked bar.
Team Leadership :
Recruit, train, and supervise a team of bartenders and barbacks.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
Set performance expectations and provide regular feedback to staff.
Customer Experience :
Uphold high standards of customer service and ensure guests have an exceptional experience.
Address customer feedback and resolve any service-related issues promptly and professionally.
Promote a welcoming and engaging atmosphere at the bar.
Bar Operations :
Manage day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and reporting.
Oversee cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Implement and enforce responsible alcohol service practices.
Budget and Financial Management :
Develop and manage the bar budget, tracking expenses and revenue.
Identify opportunities to maximize profitability while maintaining quality.
Monitor and control beverage costs, waste, and inventory levels.
Qualifications :
Proven experience as a Bar Manager or Assistant Bar Manager in a high-volume cocktail bar.
Extensive knowledge of cocktails, mixology, and beverage trends.
Strong leadership and team-building skills.
Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
Ability to manage inventory, control costs, and analyze financial data.
Proficient in using bar management software and POS systems.
Must be of legal drinking age and have a responsible alcohol service certification.
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
Certification in mixology or bartending.
Experience with menu development and cocktail innovation.
Familiarity with local and state liquor laws and regulations.
