Position Summary

We are currently recruiting for Bilingual and Unilingual Senior Desk Adjusters with a focus on Liability Claims to join our client's commercial claims team based in Ontario, Canada.

This position can be done remotely from anywhere in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing commercial auto and property claims through loss investigations and negotiating settlements in compliance with provincial licensing requirements, while ensuring high productivity and strong customer relationships.
  • Assess and review special damages such as property estimates, personal property inventories, medical bills, lost wage statements, and medical reports.
  • Investigate, collect, and analyze claims information.
  • Evaluate coverage and liability
  • Negotiate, settle, and finalize claims.
  • Accurately record, report, and present files.
  • Maintain accurate billing, time, and expense records.
  • Work with the manager to maintain client relations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of technical claims handling experience in commercial liability claims.
  • Experience in bodily injury claims and litigation is required.
  • Post-secondary education in an insurance-related field is an asset.
  • CIP designation is required or must be in progress.
  • Full Ontario Independent Adjuster License is required.
  • Strong computer and reporting skills, including Office 365 and Windows 10.
  • Team player with outstanding customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong PC skills, including application-based skills.
