The Community Manager supports in overseeing a variety of social media communities and interacts with customers and supporters on various social platforms.
This role always looks for unique opportunities to build, grow and own the brand conversation. This position is responsible for managing social calendars, publishing content, generating new and unique opportunities to engage users, moderating User Generated Content and escalating any issues to the appropriate internal / client teams.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the creation of content to support the various social media channels that align to the over-arching social media strategy
- Work with internal teams in the development of the content and provide best practices for the channels
- Leverage social media tools to publish and monitor content
- Identify threats and opportunities in user generated content surrounding client’s brand
- Enforce social media guidelines as defined by the social media playbook in partnership with various stakeholders (Client, PR, Agency)
- Proactively monitor social media channels for issues, observations, opportunities and insights
- Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans
- Track and communicate industry POVs and social media trends to team and client
- Regularly use the various research and listening tools for insights
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, media studies, business and / or related fields.
- 2-3 years’ experience managing social media platforms
- Resourcefulness and adaptability : Proven abilities in proactive problem solving and goal achievement through non-conventional methods
- Excellent communication skills : Proven ability to articulate ideas and concepts, superior grammar skills, and presentation skills in both scheduled and ad-hoc scenarios
- Project oriented : Ability to work independent and collaborate with others to achieve their goals
- Creativity : Innovative in nature, always looking for new ways to communicate potentially old ideas
- Analytical : High attention to detail and the ability to draw strategic insights to help inform the business
- Passion and understanding for QSR would be an asset
- Proven ability to multi-task and set priorities in fast moving environment
- Ability to maintain composure in high stress situations
