Job Description
This person assumes a broader responsibility for the account. They begin to develop relationships with clients and follow-up on the different projects / dockets opened to facilitate their realization.
This person continues to be resourceful, well organized and detail-oriented but now begins to demonstrate their knowledge, ability and desire to initiate projects.
Account Coordinator needs to understand Digital Channels (Email, Web, Social, Display) and the different steps within the execution process.
The Account Coordinator also manages the following :
1 . Project Management :
Manages / responsible for project execution & ensures all timelines are met, including production processes such as Link Matrices, QA staging, and Studio for Print
Process day-to-day material thoroughly
Be maniacal about details and follow-up
Be an advocate for the client
Ensure management of client expectations around timing, deliverables, and budget
Ensure / Escalate any client requests that go against brand guidelines and / or items that create inconsistencies in design principles
Always understand why something is being done / where it fits
2 . Communication Skills :
Communicate effectively (written & oral), keep informed and keep others informed, presentation skills
Lead project meetings with client as well as internally
Develop and distribute contact reports as necessary
3 . Understanding of Clients Business :
Develop an understanding of the client’s business and their customers
Begin to understand the customer lifecycle and customer experience
Begin to develop points-of-view that will help build the clients business and uncover areas of opportunity
Stay on top of analysis / competitive landscape of the client / products
Provide thought leadership on internal reviews with insights around anticipated client feedback
Begin to assist Account Director in writing communication plans
4 . Creative Strategy Preparation :
Understand client’s business objectives and communicate to the team
Begin to develop the ability to write a creative brief, with input along the way
Begin to understand testing and how they can be implemented for better results
Provide creative teams with all information / assets necessary to kick off projects, including past campaign learnings / results
Qualifications
- 1-3 years experience within an agency environment or marketing position
- Ability to multi-task and maintain a high standard of work within a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong project management skills; good attention to detail and cross-team coordination
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
