Position Summary

Clinical Team Manager, Mental Health Adult Inpatient Mental Health (7W) and MHESU (Purple Zone) Your goal in this position is to ensure operational and clinical excellence, while facilitating the provision of an outstanding patient and family experience. You will do this by providing outstanding leadership and accountability, and the promotion of high quality evidence-based care. You will take on responsibility for the physical, financial, and human resources of the 29 bed adult inpatient mental health unit which includes a 5 bed PICU (7W), the Mental Health Emergency Services Unit (Purple Zone) and ensure the clinical and regulatory compliance of the team. We also want you to be a great relationship builder, and foster close contacts with peers across the entire organization and with community mental health agencies. You also have excellent interpersonal skills, and you effortlessly connect with physicians, staff, patients, and families. This position supports the hospital’s academic mandate by advancing care through teaching and learning and / or transforming care through research and innovation. This position contributes to the shared responsibility of ensuring health and safety policies are followed to provide for a healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and families. The ideal candidates are :

What We Offer

Working at NYGH means working with a dynamic team of fellow healthcare providers, staff, and volunteers in one of Canada’s leading hospitals. This is a full-time, regular position, with 8 hours shifts, day shifts, including weekends and on call shifts in the Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit (7 W) and the Mental Health Emergency Services Unit (MHESU Purple Zone). This position also requires organization-wide on-call responsibilities. We offer a highly competitive total compensation package that includes benefits, pension, and vacation.
