Located in Markham, ON, our client is one of the GTA’s leading accounting firms for entrepreneurs. With over 50 years of experience, they provide business owners and operators with strategic, simplified, and holistic accounting, financial, and tax-planning services.

The Opportunity :

We are seeking to fill full-time Senior Accountant positions with individuals experienced in accounting, tax, financial advisory, estate planning, corporate restructuring, and risk advisory.

Successful candidates will have :

• Proven experience managing assurance engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and staff supervision in a mid-sized firm
• Thorough knowledge of ASPE, ASNFPO, and CAS
• Exceptional client relationship skills, team leadership, and the ability to ensure accurate and timely completion of accounting work
• Ability to oversee the preparation of audit, review, and compilation working papers, financial statements, and disclosures per GAAP
• Experience ensuring the accurate preparation of corporate, trust, and personal income tax returns
• Leadership in training and mentoring staff while upholding firm standards

Skills / Must Have :

• Minimum of 2 years of experience at a public accounting practice in Canada
• CPA designation or near completion in Canada
• Experience with private audit and review engagements
• Ability to work 3 days a week in Markham, ON

About You :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, or equivalent experience
• CPA designation and member in good standing
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, tax, financial advisory, estate planning, corporate restructuring, and risk advisory
• Proficiency in Caseware and knowledge of Jazz
• Ability to work remotely 2 or 3 days a week
