What will you do?
Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role. There will be more, but we can discuss those in person.
- Responsible for supporting all Corporate Networks, Base Building Networks (BBN) and infrastructure across Canada, US, and Europe.
- Provide hands on support with a vast array of systems and devices from networking to servers and storage to name a few.
- Respond to technical support incidents using Service Now support portal while maintaining established SLA’s (Service Level Agreements).
- Ensure that the day-to-day operations of the Networks, Servers and Storage environments are meeting / exceeding reliability, availability, and service requirements as per SLA’s (Service Level Agreements).
- Be available after hours when needed to assist with resolving rare and unexpected operational issues, and on a rotating basis providing 24X7 on call support.
- Implement new infrastructure standard devices and platforms.
- Monitor and administer the backup solution to ensure all systems are properly backed up in event of a disaster.
- Establish and use current existing standards, policies, procedures, checklists to ensure network consistency and a high standard of customer experience.
- Ensure all systems are effectively monitored.
- Identify new opportunities and bring them to the attention of the Infrastructure Manager.
- Develop strong relationships with the Technical Support, Security and Enterprise Systems to increase support delivery and ensure cohesive, smooth-running systems.
- Work with 3rdparty consultants, vendors in their implementation and support of Dream’s networks within our Corporate and Base Building locations.
What type of experience do you have?

- Minimum 4+ years’ experience supporting Data Centre infrastructure; Servers, Storage, LANs, and WANs.
- Minimum 4+ years hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and troubleshooting complex networks.
- Experience managing Microsoft Azure applications and services (IAAS, SAAS)
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience administrating and maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server environment (Domain Controllers, File Servers, etc..).
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience administering VMware vSphere, Other Hypervisors (Acropolis Nutanix, Scale etc..) and Citrix Virtual Desktop / Apps environment for a mid to large size organization.
- Technical knowledge in Data Centre virtualization, Microsoft Windows server operating systems, SANs, and Active Directory services.
- Thorough understanding and hands-on experience troubleshooting servers and storage.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Exceptional organization and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Dependable and flexible when necessary

- Cisco switches, Nexus Switches, Palo Alto firewalls, and data center products, HCI, Monitored PDU, SD-WAN, MPLS, Fibre, Racking and Stacking etc.
- Cloud computing experience. (Azure, AWS, Office 365)
- VMware vCenter, vSphere, Nutanix Acropolis Hypervisor, Scale Hypervisor and SRM
- Citrix NetScaler, Virtual Apps / Desktops and Storefront
- Veeam Backup and Replication
- Certifications such as : CCNA, CCNE, CCNP, PCNSA, PCNSE, MCSE, VCP.
