Senior Contract Analyst (Canada)

A Senior Contract Analyst is responsible for managing all aspects of contracts throughout their lifecycle. This role will support field sales and internal departments by providing accurate and timely contract processing.

This includes preparing, reviewing, drafting, redlining, negotiating, and managing commercial contracts with major purchasing groups and health care organizations.

This primarily remote position will reside in the greater Toronto area, with the expectation to attend meetings at times in the LivaNova Toronto office.

The proven ability to be fluent in both English and French is a position requirement for interactions with our Canadian customers.

PRIMARY ACTIVITIES

Assists with managing the department inbox, responds to internal and external inquiries, and forwards email to the appropriate contacts

Negotiates, drafts, and manages contractual documents that establish business relationships with vendors, customers and / or partners

Assists mid-to high-level contract professionals in working with internal or external business teams on issues and developments relative to assigned contracts

Relationship Management : Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Supports contracts tracking and status updates

Provides support to members of the various business units in all matters pertaining to contract formation, negotiation and executing contractual commitments associated with their activities, including strategy and the negotiation, preparation, drafting, redlining, reviewing, and administration of contracts in accordance with customer expectations and corporate objectives

Prepares, organizes, and maintains contract records and files documenting contract performance, contract metrics and compliance

Drafts letters, completes vendor form requests, and researches information requested from internal departments

Liaise with internal departments to identify and resolve customer discrepancies

Ensures company’s on-going compliance with all Federal, Provincial, local laws, and regulations, as well as all Company policies and procedures

Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Proven ability to be fluent in both English and French is a job requirement

5+ years’ contracts administration or other pertinent legal or paralegal experience, preferably in a corporate environment and / or law firm.

Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated healthcare environment is a plus

Intermediate experience in drafting contracts and business agreements

Intermediate redlining and contracts negotiation skills

Self-starter and strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to implement strategies based on competitive dynamics, economic conditions, and customer needs

Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels internally as well as externally

Acute problem-solving aptitude balancing the needs of the business while empathizing with the customer and their situation

Detail oriented and ability to balance numerous business initiatives in a time sensitive manner

Intermediate level of technical proficiency to manage across multiple systems & platforms, with familiarity of leading contract management systems

Interpretation of solicitation requirements, analysis of Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), Statement of Work (SoW)

Intermediate knowledge and experience on Canadian federal procurement processes, tenders, construction of responses to RFPs, and contract clause interpretation.

Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of applicable Canadian laws and regulations.

Strong analytical skills are critical for this role

Pay Transparency : A reasonable estimate of the annual base salary for this position is $76,000- $95,000 CAD + discretionary annual bonus.

Pay ranges may vary by location.
