Position DescriptionCalvary Baptist Church Oshawa is looking for a full-time Community Life and Outreach Pastor to join our leadership team. If you have a proven track record in ministry leadership and are looking for a dynamic ministry team environment that is passionate about disciple making, then you should apply for this position.The candidate for this position is a deeply devoted and committed follower of Jesus who is passionate about seeing God’s kingdom advance. Must be team-oriented with strong vocational ministry experience. Relevant post-secondary education is required. Bible College and / or Seminary Degree (or in process) is preferred.The successful candidate will need to be an active member of Calvary Baptist Church and fully engaged in our ministry model. This includes a demonstrated commitment to Calvary’s values, mission and principles of Christian living including full agreement with Calvary’s Statement of Faith. The candidate will need to be eligible to meet the pastoral requirements of the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches in Canada.As an entrepreneurial and dynamic leadership catalyst, this person will be responsible for providing pastoral leadership for our Community Life and Outreach Ministries. This will include developing vision and executing ministry plans to meet Calvary’s missional goals. This individual will oversee the development and execution of evangelism and integration strategies including recruiting and developing leaders, leading / teaching our “How to Belong” membership program, co-ordinating Baptisms and overseeing our “Sunday Experience” hospitality teams.
