Join our Vancouver government client on an initial 12-month contract as a SAP Data & Analytics Lead, responsible for the delivery and day to day operations of SAP data and analytics solutions.

You will work alongside product owners and lead a team in a scrum agile environment, providing technical guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform integration, design, and implementation of various SAP business warehouse and business intelligence projects by determining business requirements and feasible technical options to support organizational objectives.
  • Review functional specification documents and present the proposed technical design to the development leads for review using excellent analytical and communication skills to ensure that the design meets business requirements.
  • Develop sustainable SAP reporting solutions efficiently by following the architectural direction and technical design approved by the solution / technical lead so that projects are completed safely, with quality, within budget, and on time.
  • Maintain reporting solutions by performing operational routine sustainment activities efficiently and on time to support multiple project and sustainment teams across the organization.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams by validating business / information requirements, translating them into a conceptual business design model, and troubleshooting development items to deliver sustainable technical solutions.
  • Monitor solution development by providing timely status updates to the team lead on work progress and current issues to ensure that the work is packaged and structured according to standards.
  • Document technical designs, solutions, and new work procedures by creating process flows, job aids, and standard operating procedures to support end users in the organization.
  • Provide guidance and technical expertise to other groups in the organization on reporting techniques in SAP business warehouse to continuously build capability and capacity.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of nine (9) years of consulting experience in SAP BW 7.3 or higher or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency and hands-on experience in at least four of the following areas :

Finance

Project Management

Human Capital Management

Recruitment

Learning Solutions

Work Management

Supply Chain Management

Asset Management

Environmental and Safety Management

Production Support

Expert-level technical skills in SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and its underlying data models, Bex, Web Application Designer, and SAP Business Objects 4.

2, including Crystal Reports, Dashboards, Analysis, and Web Intelligence.

  • Exceptional performance tuning capabilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of Accelerated SAP (ASAP) methodology and the utility industry.
  • Advanced expertise in designing and constructing data / information architectures for integrated reporting and analytical solutions.
  • Proficient in planning and executing SAP version upgrades.
  • Thorough understanding of change management procedures and policies using SAP Solution Manager.
  • Extensive experience in SAP implementation, covering all phases from project initiation to solution building / configuring / testing, production system cutover, support, and project closure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, suitable for a professional environment.
