Our client in the logistics industry is looking for their next HR Manager for an 18-month contract with the possibility of an extension.
Location : Downtown Toronto (also supporting 1 other location in Brampton)
Work Model : Onsite

Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management : Oversee and mentor an HR team of 4-5 individuals, providing guidance and leadership to support their development and ensure the effective delivery of HR services.
Recruitment & Onboarding : Manage the full recruitment cycle, from job postings to onboarding, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for new hires.
Employee Relations : Serve as the main point of contact for employee relations issues, ensuring a positive work environment through conflict resolution, performance management, and adherence to HR policies.
Compliance & Policy Management : Ensure the company remains compliant with Canadian employment legislation, as well as health and safety regulations.
Oversee the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
HR Strategy Implementation : Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company’s mission and vision, ensuring the effective use of human resources to achieve business goals.
Qualifications
Experience : 5-7 years of progressive HR experience. Experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector is preferred.
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional designations such as CHRL or CHRP are an asset.
Leadership Skills : Proven ability to lead and develop a team, with strong people management and mentoring capabilities.
Compliance Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of Canadian employment laws and regulations, with the ability to navigate complex HR issues.
Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
Tech-Savvy : Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with tools like SharePoint, Teams, and ADP.
