As a Senior BanquetManager you are responsible for ensuring the seamless execution ofhighprofile events from weddings to gala dinners by leading adedicated team and maintaining exceptional service standards.
Theirrole is pivotal in creating memorable guest experiences fosteringinterdepartmental collaboration and upholding the hotels reputationfor excellence.
In this role youare responsiblefor :
- DailyOperations : Oversee daily banquet operationsincluding bar and room setups ensuring readiness andstandards.
- ServiceCulture : Build a serviceoriented team providingengaging memorable events like weddings and galadinners.
- StaffDevelopment : Coordinate with Banquet Leaders forstaff selection training and development to maintain hotelstandards.
- EventCoordination : Attend pre and postconvention meetingsfollow event details and support banquet leadership inexecution.
- FacilityManagement : Inspect banquet facilities and equipmentregularly addressing anydeficiencies.
- InterdepartmentalCollaboration : Foster positive relationships withculinary stewarding and catering teams to ensure seamlessoperations.
- Client and TeamEngagement : Maintain client relationships holdmonthly meetings and support colleague engagement programs to drivemorale andperformance.
Qualifications :
What werelooking for :
- Collegedegree in Hospitality management or related fieldpreferred
- 4 years experience as a BanquetManager
- 5 Years of Food and Beverage leadershipexperience
- Experience in leading / overseeingbanquet servers porters &bartenders
- Experience in labour forecasting& management
- Experience in Unionizedenvironment an asset
Physical Aspectsof Position (included but not limited to) :
Frequent walking throughout shift
Occasionallifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
Occasionalkneeling pushing pulling lifting
Ability tofocus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at alltimes
