Job Description

The Director, Global Quality Assurance, Warranty, and Product Compliance, will lead and oversee the global quality strategy, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

This role is pivotal in managing the warranty program and ensuring that customer feedback is integrated into continuous improvement initiatives.

The Director will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to uphold the company’s commitment to excellence, sustainability, and customer satisfaction across all markets.

What You’ll Do :

Global Quality Assurance :

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global quality assurance strategy aligned with corporate goals.
  • Lead the quality assurance teams across multiple regions to ensure consistent application of standards and practices.
  • provide direction to establish and maintain quality control processes, ensuring products meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Drive the standardization of quality metrics across all manufacturing and production facilities.

Product Compliance :

  • Ensure that all products comply with global regulatory requirements, including safety, environmental, and industry-specific standards.
  • Oversee the management of product testing and certification processes, ensuring timely and accurate compliance.
  • Stay updated on global regulatory changes and proactively adjust policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Collaborate with legal and R&D teams to ensure that product designs meet regulatory standards from conception to market.

Warranty Management :

  • Oversee the global warranty program, ensuring effective management of claims, analysis of trends, and implementation of improvements.
  • Work closely with customer service and product teams to address recurring quality issues identified through warranty data.
  • Develop strategies to minimize warranty costs while maintaining customer satisfaction

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

  • Partner with sourcing, manufacturing, R&D, and supply chain teams to embed quality into every stage of product development and production.
  • Lead initiatives to improve supplier quality performance through audits, training, and partnership development.
  • Ensure effective communication of quality standards and issues across all levels of the organization.

Continuous Improvement :

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by implementing lean manufacturing principles and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes to address quality issues.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation in quality assurance and compliance processes.

Product Quality :

  • Reduction in product defect rates across all regions.
  • Consistent adherence to quality standards as measured by internal and external audits.

Warranty Management :

  • Reduction in warranty claims and costs.
  • Improved customer satisfaction metrics related to product quality and warranty service.

Regulatory Compliance :

  • 100% compliance with global product safety and regulatory standards.
  • Successful navigation of regulatory audits with minimal findings.

Supplier Quality :

  • Improvement in supplier quality performance metrics.
  • Reduction in supply chain disruptions related to quality issues.

Continuous Improvement :

Implementation of successful quality improvement projects leading to measurable gains in efficiency and product quality.

Let's Talk About You :

  • 12-15 years of experience in quality assurance, product compliance, or a related field within the apparel or consumer goods industry.
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership role, managing global teams and overseeing multi-regional operations.
  • Extensive experience with quality management systems, regulatory compliance, and product safety standards.
  • Proven track record of managing and improving warranty programs on a global scale.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain, within a global organization.
  • Strong background in supplier quality management, particularly in the apparel or consumer goods sector.

  • Communication : Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners.
  • Project Management : Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Customer Focus : A deep commitment to customer satisfaction, with the ability to translate customer feedback into actionable quality improvement initiatives.
  • Adaptability : Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage change effectively.
