Your Team
You will be joining the Ontario Land & Housing Product Development team.
Your Key Deliverables
Review preliminary design contract package for construction efficiencies and problematic details.
Review working drawings against marketing brochures, trade meeting notes, schedule B, contract package.
Attend coordination meetings with trades for HVAC, Floor, windows, electrical layouts, exterior cladding.
Review all working drawings for OBC compliance and Builder Standards.
Coordinate and back check redline revisions with consultants.
Coordinate final truss, floor, and HVAC layouts with trades.
Coordinate model certification and permit packages.
Coordinate issue for construction package for site use during construction.
Review and coordinate Studio support documents including but not limited to; data locations, window operator location, and interior light fixture / switch locations.
Oversee all digital and hard copy directories are organized and up to date.
Monitor and track work to ensure working drawing packages are progressing on schedule.
Process print requests from office and site staff through third party plotting company.
Coordinate any revisions per site changes during site walks or site feedback.
Support in the product development stage in our communities
Monitor and track work to ensure all design development tasks are progressing on schedule.
Coordinate product development of the new floor plans and elevations with consultants. Ensuring builder standards are reflected accurately and vision presented accurately to ensure a smooth transition during working drawing production.
Create updated model type lists for Newstar setup.
Create / maintain schedule Z site map for each community.
Coordinate Architecture marketing collateral contribution for the purpose of printed inserts and digital platform. Ensure accuracy of the material prepared from agency.
Assist in development of exterior colour packages (ECP) for each community.
Oversee ECP approvals with the Control Architect.
Assist marketing agency in development of ECP boards prior to sales opening.
Review and approve Newstar ECP selections with architectural control guidelines.
Coordinate internal meetings with department representatives during the product development stage.
Support in liaise with Municipalities on application concerns / questions.
Must Haves
College Diploma or technical certificate in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
3-5 years in the residential homebuilding industry is an asset. 2+ years’ prior project coordination experience.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings including, but not limited to, working drawings and engineering documents.
Possess working knowledge of design guidelines and experience in conceptual design.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
