Position Overview :
Medcan is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager, Hospitality and Facility Management to oversee and optimize facility operations at our flagship clinic. This role requires a strong leader who can collaborate across various teams and drive initiatives aimed at enhancing the client experience and refining service delivery. The ideal candidate possesses robust leadership skills, keen attention to detail, and a passion for building meaningful connections with clients and team members.
Key Responsibilities :
Leadership and Management : Lead and manage teams, ensuring alignment with Medcan's core values and strategic priorities This include the Facility, Maintenance, Valet and Reception teams
Client Experience : Develop and implement strategies to enhance client experience, ensuring every interaction is personalized and exceeds expectations
Hospitality Standards : Maintain hospitality and brand standards across the clinic, ensuring consistency and excellence in service delivery
Training and Development : Provide continuous training and development opportunities for the teams, fostering a culture of excellence and commitment
Collaboration : Work closely with internal stakeholders and departments, including marketing, IT, and clinic operations to coordinate project execution and ensure seamless integration of hospitality initiatives
Innovation : Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance the client experience and streamline hospitality processes
Performance Monitoring : Monitor and evaluate the performance of hospitality initiatives, making data-driven decisions to improve service quality
Facility Management : Oversee the day-to-day facility operations of Medcan’s flagship clinic, ensuring seamless support and functional excellence. Support satellite locations as required.
Maintenance and Repairs : Coordinate and supervise maintenance and repair activities to ensure the clinic's facilities are in optimal condition. This involves managing relationships with external vendors and contractors
Engagement and collaboration with Property Management : Establish and maintain clear, effective communication between Medcan and the landlord's property management team to ensure seamless coordination and support for Medcan's operations.
Food and Beverage Oversight : Monitor and manage the supply, quality, and presentation of food and beverages in our lounges to ensure exceptional service and customer satisfaction.
Safety and Compliance : Ensure that all facilities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards
Space Management : Collaborate with relevant teams to optimize the use of space within the clinic to accommodate various functions and services. This involves supporting the planning and execution of room reallocations and renovations as needed to ensure the efficient and effective use of available space.
Security : Oversee and enhance security measures to protect the clinic's assets and ensure the safety of clients and staff. This includes managing access control systems, monitoring security protocols, and implementing necessary improvements to maintain a secure environment.
Budget Management : Work collaboratively to develop and manage the facility management budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions that do not compromise quality and safety. This involves supporting careful planning, monitoring expenditures, and identifying opportunities for cost savings while maintaining high standards.
Sustainability Initiatives : Champion and integrate sustainable practices within facility operations, focusing on eco-consciousness, energy conservation, and waste reduction programs.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a hospitality management role, preferably in a luxury hotel, luxury retail or healthcare / wellness setting
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to develop and implement client-centric strategies
Experience with project management and process improvement
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing teams
In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and best practices in clinical operations
Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
Demonstrated coaching, mentoring, and people management expertise
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management software (Limble)
This role will be reporting to the General Manager.
