--

What will your typical day look like?

Build first, everywhere

  • Design and build across the full stack: modern frontend frameworks, backend services in multiple languages, APIs, data layers, and the cloud infrastructure underneath them.
  • Turn pursuit conversations into working software fast. Build demos, PoCs, and accelerators that win deals because clients can see and touch them, not just read about them in a proposal.
  • Set the technical bar on engagements: write and review code, establish architecture and engineering standards, and pair with engineers to unblock hard problems.
  • Build reusable assets (starter kits, reference implementations, internal tooling) that make every subsequent engagement faster.
  • Use AI-assisted development tooling as a default part of how you and your teams build, and shape how we embed AI-assisted delivery into engagements.

Shape and win work

  • Lead technical solutioning for opportunities in your domain, partnering with account teams to qualify, shape, and win pursuits.
  • Scope, estimate, and price engagements grounded in what you know from having built similar systems yourself.
  • Present solution narratives that connect business problems to technical architecture, backed by things you've built.
  • Own the hand-off into delivery: mobilize teams, set technical direction, and stay engaged post-sale as the engineering leader accountable for the outcome.

Lead Product Builders

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams of software engineers, architects, cloud engineers, DevOps specialists, and AI practitioners.
  • Mentor through the work itself: code reviews, architecture sessions, pairing, not just status meetings.
  • Collaborate across architecture, delivery management, and staffing to align demand and supply across engagements.

Depending on your technical domain, you will also:

  • Custom development: architect and build cloud-native applications across the full technology stack, leading modernization and product engineering from pursuit through production.
  • Integration/middleware: design and implement integration strategies and middleware solutions on enterprise integration platforms, leading API, event-driven, and enterprise connectivity engagements.
  • DevOps/platform engineering: build enterprise automation hands-on: infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and GitOps, while growing the delivery teams that run them.
  • AI-enabled delivery: build AI-accelerated engineering solutions: LLM/SLM integration, RAG architectures, vector databases, and agentic workflows, and prove them out in working systems before we sell them.
  • Cloud engineering: architect and build across a major cloud ecosystem (compute, serverless, containers, messaging, API management, managed databases, identity), leading cloud-native and migration engagements from business case through delivery.

About the team

We're growing our Product Engineering & Development team and looking for a Manager who builds. This is a hands-on role for a seasoned full-stack engineer who can shape a solution with a client in the morning and be in the codebase with the team in the afternoon. You'll lead pursuits by building working software (prototypes, proof-of-concepts, reference architectures) and stay accountable through delivery, ensuring what we sell actually ships. Depending on your background, you'll anchor one or more of our technical domains: custom development, integration/middleware, DevOps/platform engineering, AI-enabled delivery, or cloud engineering.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

Must-have qualifications

  • You still write code. Recent, hands-on full-stack engineering experience: modern frontend frameworks, backend services, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure, with the judgment to know when to build and when to buy.
  • Deep expertise in one or more of the following, with the architectural depth to bridge customer needs and delivery teams:
    ◦ Custom software development (full-stack, cloud-native application engineering, modern software architecture, application modernization)
    ◦ Integration/middleware (enterprise integration platforms and middleware architecture)
    ◦ DevOps/platform engineering (infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, container orchestration, cloud automation)
    ◦ AI-enabled delivery and software engineering (GenAI, LLMs, RAG, agentic systems, AI-assisted development)
    ◦ Cloud engineering (PaaS, container services, cloud-native architectures)
  • A track record of building prototypes, PoCs, or demos that won work, and then delivering the systems they promised.
  • Proven experience leading custom application development and modernization engagements: solution shaping, architecture oversight, estimation, delivery planning, and risk management.
  • Working fluency with AI-assisted development tools and experience applying generative AI to accelerate development, testing, migration, and documentation while maintaining quality and governance.
  • Ability to scope, estimate, and price complex technology engagements spanning application development, cloud transformation, integration, and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams, with credibility earned by doing the work alongside them.
  • Strong executive communication and client-facing storytelling, able to explain technical strategy and business value to both business and technical audiences.
