Are you ready to take on the challenge with us?

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a diligent and skilled Security Analyst to join Sopra Steria's Cybersecurity division (I2S), in our downtown Toronto office located in Financial District.

In this role, you will play a critical part in monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents, as well as implementing proactive security measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our clients' data and systems.

Sopra Steria Infrastructure & Security Services (I2S) is a subsidiary of Sopra Steria dedicated to infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity activities.

It plays a key role in Sopra Steria's end-to-end services. With 3,000 employees, Sopra Steria I2S stands out for the flexibility of its delivery model, combining client proximity from our 8 agencies with the advanced industrial capabilities of our offshore service centers.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitor security alerts and events, investigate potential security incidents, and identify abnormal activities in client environments
  • Coordinate and execute incident response procedures, including containment, eradication, and recovery - document all incident-related activities and findings
  • Conduct threat intelligence research to stay updated on emerging threats and vulnerabilities
  • Analyze data to identify potential security risks and recommend countermeasures
  • Perform vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses in client systems
  • Collaborate with clients to address and remediate vulnerabilities
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of security policies and best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Maintain detailed records of security incidents, investigations, and remediation efforts
  • Work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to address security concerns and integrate security into the development and operation of IT systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven 5+ experience as a Security Analyst or in a similar cybersecurity role
  • Relevant certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), are a plus
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, and best practices
  • Proficiency in security tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS / IPS, and antivirus solutions
  • Proficiency on at least 2 of the following technology : Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Cortex
  • Proficiency on at least 2 of the following technology : SentinelOne, TrendMicro, Trellix, Microsoft Defender, Crowdstrike
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Organized with a proven ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and utilize time effectively in a challenging environment to drumbeat the activity
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and listening skills
  • Previous work in a multicultural environment
  • English required / French is a plus
