Job Mandate

Reporting to the HEAD of Security, the Security Analyst is primarily responsible for the day to day operations of our security practice, including monitoring various security tools, logs and participating as needed in various projects.

As a part of the technical team, this role will participate in business initiatives and projects related to all aspects of information security and operational security best practices within the HTS group of companies.

This includes network, storage, servers, application, physical premises and policies and procedures.

Major Responsibilities

  • Participate in the planning and design of enterprise security architecture, under the direction of the HEAD of Security and the HEAD of Corporate Systems.
  • Participate in the creation of enterprise security documents (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures)
  • Participate in the planning and design of an enterprise business continuity plan and disaster recovery plan, under the direction of the HEAD of Security and the HEAD of Corporate Systems.
  • Maintain up-to-date detailed knowledge of the Cyber Security industry including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes, and the development of new attacks and threat vectors.
  • Maintain up-to-date baselines for the secure configuration and operations of all in-place devices, whether they be under direct control (i.

e. security tools) or not (e.g. workstations, servers, network devices and core applications).

Perform the deployment, integration, and initial configuration of all new security solutions and of any enhancements to existing security solutions in accordance with standard best operating procedures generically and the enterprise’s security documents specifically.

Operational

  • Maintain operational configurations of all in-place security solutions as per the established baselines.
  • Monitor all in-place security solutions for efficient and appropriate operations.
  • Review logs and reports of all in-place devices, whether they be under direct control (i.e. security tools) or not (e.g.

workstations, servers, network devices). Interpret the implications of that activity and devise plans for appropriate resolution.

  • Participate in investigations into problematic activity.
  • Participate in the design and execution of vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits.
  • Provide on-call support for end users for all in-place security solutions and act as an escalation point for other areas of Kore IT.

Strategy and Planning

  • Collaborate with all areas of Kore to integrate security best practices throughout the development lifecycle and across all technology platforms.
  • Recommend additional security solutions or enhancements to existing security solutions to improve overall enterprise security.

Working conditions

  • Hybrid work environment consisting of 2-3 days in the office and 2-3 days remote.
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Reliable access to personal transportation is a requirement.
  • Must have valid passport and be allowed entry into the US.
  • Must have reliable Internet connection for remote work.

Minimum required technical skills / qualifications.

Knowledge, Education, Training

  • University or college degree in an information system focused program.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a security analyst role within a corporate environment, with a strong emphasis on information security.
  • Experience in developing and implementing security procedures.

Technical skills

  • University or college degree in an information system focused program.

  • Experience in developing and implementing security procedures.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Security suite, with hands on experience in deploying and managing security solutions within a Microsoft centric environment.
  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell or Python, with a track record of developing scripts to automate security tasks and processes.
  • Strong understanding of network architectures, protocols, and security methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of development methodologies relative to secure code creation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security data and identify trends and effective mitigations.

  • Highly analytical thinker, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and solving security challenges.
