CONFIDENTIAL Scovai, a trailblazing force in the Talent Acquisition & Recruiting sector, is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a leading life sciences organization seeking a seasoned Commercial Director to spearhead its Canadian market strategy. This is a high-impact, director-level opportunity for a commercially driven leader with deep roots in the Canadian pharma, biotech, and medtech landscape. Based in Toronto on a hybrid model, the successful candidate will own the full commercial P&L, define and execute go-to-market strategies, and serve as the primary architect of revenue growth across the Canadian business unit.
In this role, you will lead and scale a high-performing sales and business development team, cultivate and manage strategic key account relationships with pharma, biotech, and medtech clients, and oversee market access initiatives from inception through execution. You will partner closely with global leadership to align Canadian commercial priorities with broader organizational growth objectives, champion product launches, and drive market expansion efforts that deliver measurable results. Your ability to navigate the nuances of the Canadian healthcare ecosystem—including regulatory dynamics and payer landscapes—will be central to your success.

Proven experience navigating Canadian reimbursement and HTA processes (CADTH, pCPA, provincial formularies) and executing market-access strategies
Bilingual English/French fluency with established relationships and experience engaging Quebec health-system and francophone stakeholders
Track record scaling commercial operations and leading successful launches for biologics, advanced therapies or mid-/late-stage biotech products in Canada
Strong commercial-analytics and revenue-operations expertise (Salesforce/CRM, forecasting, pricing analytics, dashboarding and KPI-driven decision making)
