Scotiabank’s Global Technology Enterprise Platform (GTEP) – Global Network Engineering (GNE) mandate is to focus on delivering a voice and data network that is highly available, resilient, and enables Scotiabank businesses to operate globally without barriers, under the banner of “One Network, One Bank.” This includes the delivery of solutions that are cost effective, meet business needs, can scale seamlessly, and are secure.
As part of the Campus & Branch team, there is a primary focus on providing end-to-end connectivity solutions for the Bank’s technology across data centers, campus sites, and remote branches.
This position’s operational priority is to support and provide technical leadership for LATAM operations, followed by Caribbean and Canada, collaborating closely with regional and global teams.

Reporting to Director of Campus and Branches, you will play a critical part in leading and guiding a team of engineers in the deployment, supporting, and continuous improvement of network and voices services. • You are eager to work with leading edge technologies to incorporate complex network solutions, as well as work with other technology teams to contribute to an overall solution.
• You thrive on being hands-on during mid to complex project deployments into production. This will include the support of assigned systems by acting as an internal consultant on assigned infrastructure and providing suggestions for viable solutions to systems problems of high complexity.
• You want to be challenged with complex problem solving in time sensitive situations to reduce system downtime and customer impact.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
• You have strong communication (verbal/written) skills in Spanish. English language proficiency is considered a strong plus.
• You possess good interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external business partners and vendors.
• You have at least 6+ years of technical working experience in managing a large group of network engineers / network analysts supporting, deploying, and interconnecting various network technologies at an enterprise scale in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This would include hiring, coaching, & performance management.
• You have at least 8+ years of technical working experience & knowledge on multi-vendor environments at an enterprise level, which include, but not limited to LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, Cisco®, Fortinet, F5, Infoblox, SD-WAN, VoIP.
• You possess superior problem solving and decision-making skills to resolve work issues with the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• You also possess a strong core foundation experience in fundamental network technologies and protocols.
• Completion of a post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, Networking Technology or in a related field of study.
