This is a contract position for a Project Methodology Specialist for our public sector client.

Work location : Downtown Toronto

Duration : Twelve Months

7.25 hours / day

This is a Hybrid role that requires the candidate to be onsite 3 days of the week (This is a mandatory requirement of the role and is non-negotiable outside of exceptional circumstances.)

Responsibilities

Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on specific project methods. Prepares training materials, training sessions on project delivery methodology in accordance to guidelines.

Acquires, customizes, documents, integrates, communicates and implements comprehensive IT standards and guidelines.

Knowledge and experience with Agile Information and Information Technology (I&IT) methods and techniques, in particular in large organizations

  • Knowledge and experience with Agile Information and Information Technology (I&IT) methods and techniques associated with the development and implementation of enterprise architecture frameworks
  • Demonstrated commitment and proven ability to do effective stakeholder management
  • Experience leading the Agile methodology and development teams in self-organization and identifying and filling in blanks in the framework

Knowledgeable and experience in educating others in Agile methodology

  • Experience mentoring and coaching the teams on removing impediments
  • Experience capturing feedback and documenting sprint reviews to administer project goals and improve team performance
  • Knowledgeable and experience in Agile methodology and ability to educate others
  • Experience with organizational change to an Agile software development methodology

Communication, facilitation, negotiation, consensus building, and problem-solving skills

  • Communication, facilitation, negotiation, consensus building, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience facilitating the relationships between the Agile team and product owner and maintaining a safe working environment for the team by helping with conflict resolution

Desirable Skills

Project Methodology certifications such as Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Lean Six Sigma Black / Green / Yellow Belt, etc

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience as Agile Coach
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile Information and Information Technology (I&IT) methods and techniques associated with the development and implementation of enterprise architecture frameworks
  • Experience with organizational change to an Agile software development methodology
  • Experience mentoring and coaching the teams on removing impediments
  • Experience facilitating the relationships between the Agile team and product owner and maintaining a safe working environment for the team by helping with conflict resolution

Nice to have :

Project Methodology certifications such as Agile Coach, Scrum Master, etc
