Responsibilities
- Lead project(s) and coordinate efforts to achieve project objectives
- Collaborate with clinics, hospital staff, physicians, and other stakeholders, including the Ministry of Health, Health Authorities, Doctors of BC, and vendors, to ensure project success
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, maintaining open communication, and managing relationships with stakeholders
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks proactively to mitigate potential negative impacts on project outcomes
- Coordinate and chair project meetings, facilitating effective communication among project resources, and documenting findings and recommendations
- Provide regular updates to leadership and relevant committees on project progress
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and records, to ensure transparency and accountability
- Manage project scope changes and obtain necessary approvals
- Control project financials, resource usage, issues, and risks
- Escalate significant issues and collaborate with stakeholders to find solutions
- Perform project management processes in accordance with PMO standards
- Adapt to changing project needs and priorities, contributing to the success of various delivery projects within the portfolio
Qualifications
- Five (5) years' recent, related experience in project management and facilitating consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups, including the vendor community
- Extensive experience communicating with clinical / non-clinical staff, senior leadership, and other stakeholders
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple Agile projects simultaneously
- Proven leadership abilities and a strong track record
- Forward-thinking, analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of how various technologies fit together in a provincial health ecosystem to deliver services
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
- Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
- Ability to adapt and respond to changing project needs and priorities
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation preferred
- Experience working in BC Health Authorities considered an asset
- Knowledge of OceanMD and EMR systems considered a strong asset
