Job Summary :

We are proactively recruiting for Project Managers to join the Central 1 Team

As a Project Manager, you will lead the planning and delivery of Programs and Initiatives which have enterprise-wide impact.

You will be accountable for projects of significant size, complexity, longevity and impact, or for a highly complex major project involving numerous smaller projects, a diverse range of stakeholders, and extensive risk.

These projects can include process optimizations, business driven changes, Risk process and policy updates, Finance or Treasury department projects, and Tech projects.

You will work across various departments in planning, actively removing roadblocks and getting things done. In this role you will be collaborating and interacting closely with business, support services, technical staff and senior management.

We are looking for a candidate with the right experience and fit to be successful in this role.

What you will be doing :

Provide strong overall leadership to project team members and acts as an effective project manager who leads the project team towards the overall success of the project.

Demonstrate full project ownership by managing project scope, timeline, and budget within agreed tolerances throughout the lifecycle of the project

Create and adjust project plan in consultation with all stakeholders as required to meet objectives, and manages trade-offs between scope, quality, time and cost as necessary.

Provide timely project reporting for senior management including project status, plans, operational reports, and ad-hoc reporting

Facilitate change management and decision making by Project Sponsor or Steering Committee by presenting information and options for the way forward.

Produces project risk management plans to identify, assess and mitigate project risks.

Arrange the distribution of work within the company and / or to external contractors, and provides instructions, advice and direction to project team members.

Ensures project deliverables meet stated requirements, are delivered to the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time and cost.

Works closely with the project team and other stakeholders to adhere to project change control policies, procedures, and practices for management of scope, notifying stakeholders of scope change, delays, and significant variances against budget, and prepares supporting documentation (PCR) for approval when required.

Functions with a high degree of independence, exercises sound judgment and discretion in making decisions, manages resources and coordinate activities in a cross-team environment.

Proactively identify potential risks and issues before they occur so that proper mitigating strategies can be developed. Manage Risk and Issue logs.

Articulate and prioritize issues and risks to senior management and Executive leadership team and recommend mitigation strategies for decision makers.

Lead and work effectively with cross-functional teams across the organization including People and Culture, Finance, Technology, Risk, Client / Member engagement, and other support functions

Manage vendors and consultants to deliver on project and business objectives.

What you will have :

A university degree in computer science, business administration, or other related discipline.

5-10 years with progressively more responsible relevant experience including managing projects through all phases of the project life cycle.

Experience on business / corporate projects and also managing projects with software development and IT infrastructure preferred

Experience with large complex financial institution and / or highly regulated industries.

Strong foundation in Agile and Scrum while building products.

Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred.

Ability to effectively use tools and other resources to manage issues, risks, assumptions, and decisions

Comfortable dealing with projects that have many moving parts.

Exceptional analytical, problem solving, planning, organizational and time management skills.

Ability to communicate effectively and strategically both verbally and in writing with clients, technical teams and other colleagues

Highly developed business acumen.

Nice to have :

Understanding of what "technical debt" is, and how to mitigate risks associated with technical debt

Certification such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

Salary range : $90,00-$110,000

The salary range represents the job rate determined for the successful candidate who is fully competent in the role. The actual salary will vary depending on market conditions and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education / training.
