Intermediate Systems Engineering Technologist
Location: North Vancouver, BC (On‑site)
Role Summary
The Systems Engineering Technologist supports engineering teams delivering complex communication and control systems across electrical, electronic, RF, digital, and networked subsystems. This is a hands‑on role focused on integration, configuration, troubleshooting, testing, and engineering close‑out activities in active operational environments.
The successful candidate is comfortable working independently or in small teams and can contribute immediately with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Support system integration, configuration, verification, and validation activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, electronic, RF, and networked system issues
- Execute test procedures and analyze results
- Read and work from electrical and mechanical drawings and technical documentation
- Assist with inspections, operational trials, and engineering close‑out
- Maintain control of test equipment, tools, and work areas
- Interact professionally with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with procedures, schedules, and quality standards
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in systems engineering, electronics, hardware, or technologist roles
- Hands‑on experience with system integration, testing, and troubleshooting
- Experience in industrial, transportation, or other regulated technical environments
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
- Experience using electrical test equipment (DMM, oscilloscope,
- Comfortable working 100% on‑site in active operational settings
Nice to Have
- RF, electronics, or networking experience
- Exposure to EMC/EMI, shock, or vibration requirements
- Experience with LabVIEW or similar test software
- Involvement in FAT, SAT, inspections, or operational trials
- Experience on highly regulated or government programs

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
