About the role
We are looking for a Senior Software Developer (OpenText Exstream) for our growing team!
What you'll do here :
- Develop system specifications, codify, modify, test and debug computer programs under general supervision, according to planning and determined deadlines.
- Master the technical and business functionalities of the system in order to explain them to other colleagues, while interacting effectively with users.
- Translate requirements into technical specifications / software components.
- Organize and manage production sessions.
- Ensure the design and modeling of programmatic solutions for complex problems to enable the achievement of documented functional and non-functional requirements.
- Review the design as part of deliverables (Code and design quality).
- Develop and support complex components.
- Support and guide the project team in development activities to ensure the quality of the code delivered while respecting project deadlines.
- Write unit and integration tests for each function in which development must be carried out.
- Participate in the implementation of regression testing strategies to improve the stability of application components.
- Provide support and maintenance (level 1) of the application and resolve complex anomalies.
- Work independently.
- Design, develop and maintain Exstream applications to meet the needs of the business and our customers.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to collect and analyze requirements.
- Perform systems and programming needs analyzes to identify problems encountered and provide solution proposals including program specifications.
- Implement Exstream development best practices, including templating, scripting, and configuration.
- Optimize, improve and keep existing Exstream applications updated for performance, scalability and maintainability.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior developers.
What you bring to the table :
- Undergraduate degree in computer science or any combination of equivalent training and experience.
- 8 years of development experience with a focus on OpenText's Exstream solution.
- Proven expertise in the design, development and deployment of Exstream solutions.
- Good understanding of document composition and customer communications management in the insurance field - an asset.
- Proficiency in scripting languages and model design in the Exstream environment.
- Experience integrating Exstream with other business applications and systems.
- Experience with other CCM platforms or technologies (e.g. EngageOne from Precisely) an asset, openness to learning other platforms is essential.
- Knowledge of web services, APIs and database management systems.
- Understanding of data and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Have a spirit of analysis and synthesis.
- Initiative and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work in a team and have attention to detail.
- No work experience in Canada required, but you must have authorization to work in Canada.
- Knowledge of French - an asset.
