Job Description
Arcadis' Toronto West office is searching for a Mechanical Engineer to join its growing team.
Are you looking to be a part of a team that specialises in the design, tendering and contract administration of mechanical systems such as HVAC, process exhaust, hydronics, plumbing, fire protection, etc? You will have the opportunity to work on projects in Toronto, as well as collaborating with other IBI Group offices. Are you looking for a place to grow your professional career?
Working within our Design & Engineering teams, you'll create some of the world’s most iconic and ground-breaking structures and spaces that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening public places that bring people together.
This role sits within our global business area Places.We work with our clients around the world to create, support, and enhance smart, safe and sustainable places where people live, work, learn and thrive. Places impact on the quality of people’s lives. Whether new homes, shops, workplaces, schools and hospitals, manufacturing, research and development facilities, or data and distribution centers. People and communities thrive when the spaces in which they live, work, move and play are designed and managed in a way that best meets their needs.
- Design and engineer industrial systems such as compressed air, lubrication, fueling system
- Ability to express design intent as concept drawings or sketches
- Computerized analysis of heating and cooling loads
- Design and engineer building related systems such as HVAC, process exhaust, hydronics, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, etc.
- Design and machine installation utilities
- Conceptualize and Prepare industrial layouts
- Develop and write engineering study reports
- Know applicable codes and apply to design development
- Energy analysis using computer modeling
- Verification of and compliance with energy standard
- Responsible for production of construction documents and construction administration for projects
- Make technical presentation to clients
- Develop business with current and new clients
- Coordination of staffing needs for projects
- Provide technical training / education to staff
