Join Triovest, one of the largest privately-owned Canadian commercial real estate companies, as a Building Maintenance Technician for Centre on Barton in Hamilton.
The primary objective of this role is to ensure that the assigned portfolio is being managed and maintained in a safe and environmentally responsible manner and to the highest level of operational efficiency.
The hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 8 : 00am 4 : 00pm.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overseeing general tidiness of property (95% exterior & 5% interior) and assisting contracted staff with seasonal duties including landscaping, mowing, snow and garbage removal.
- The daily pickup of garbage, cardboard and recycling.
- Planning, prioritizing, performing and monitoring preventative maintenance, including : painting, plumbing and other minor repairs as required.
- Responding to and completing service requests in a timely manner.
- Performing daily inspections of the property (internal / external).
- Assisting with the set-up and take-down of promotional events.
- Working outdoors during different weather conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES
- Minium of one (1) year of building maintenance experience.
- Experience with completing basic property repairs.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
- Experience working with and overseeing contractors is an asset.
- Knowledge of Building Management Software, Angus Anywhere is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures (WHMIS, Lockout / tag out, fall protection and mold) is considered an asset.
- Must be physically capable of walking a significant amount (approximately 6-10 miles a day) between properties.
- The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform work on ladders.
