This role is part of the Tim Hortons Canada Equipment Team, reporting to the Director, Operations Equipment in Toronto. This role is suited for a driven individual with strong QSR, mechanical, and operational experience.
This individual will lead the innovation, development, support, and overall life cycle management of our restaurant beverage kitchen equipment.
Day-to-day tasks include managing and building a pipeline of equipment solutions to support key company priorities. This includes project management and, communicating with various internal and external stakeholders.
Project work is cross-functional with a focus on complexity and franchisee profitability. This team member will spend part of their time hands-on in restaurants, and test labs to measure performance and improve product performance.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Category Management
- Responsible for managing a portfolio of equipment solutions within the beverage equipment category.
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability, performance, and in-restaurant execution of current equipment.
- Manages research and development to support new product offerings or business requirements.
- Project Management
- Responsible for managing multiple projects that support the brands goals and product pipeline.
- Coordinates projects cross functionally, to ensure awareness and support from key stakeholders is obtained, and timelines are met.
- Testing, & Validation Routines
- Conducts detailed lab testing to evaluate performance of potential new equipment, and measures performance and on opportunities of existing equipment.
- Executes and supports in-restaurant test markets, gathering feedback, conducting analysis and launch recommendations though observations and data.
- Communication of plans, updates, and results to all levels of the organization.
- Implementation & Support
- Responsible for supporting restaurants with high quality resources, procedures, and training assets.
- Provides excellent support for restaurants and field teams by problem solving and troubleshooting as required.
- Facilitates the development and deployment of menu changes and software upgrades as required.
Required Skills :
- 3+ years of experience in kitchen equipment, mechanical engineering, or operations.
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or Business preferred).
- 2 - 4 years of prior work experience with project management and planning.
- Strong in PowerPoint and presentation creation abilities.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data using spreadsheets, data visualization software, etc.
- Project related travel (0-25%), primarily in continental US & Canada with occasional travel outside North America.
