We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Community Center Project Coordinator to join our clients' esteemed team.

Job Type : Full Time- Permanent

Work Hours : Monday to Friday, from 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM. ( There is scheduling flexibility)

Location : North York (This position is exclusively on site.)

Pay : $25-$30 / hour

Responsibilities

  • Oversee capital improvement projects, ensuring they align with the center's mission and vision.
  • Identify and apply for grants to fund community center projects, leveraging external funding sources.
  • Coordinate RFQ process for construction projects and vendor procurement.
  • Schedule and oversee site visits with contractors to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any challenges or delays.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align project activities with organizational needs.
  • Prepare comprehensive updates for the Board of Directors.
  • Apply for grants to support community initiatives and cultural events.
  • Coordinate cultural events and manage volunteer participation.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and foster strong relationships.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in project management ( within any industry)
  • Knowledge of grant application processes (preferred but not required)
  • A passion for securing funding to support our community initiatives and capital projects.
  • Strong collaborative skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with a genuine enthusiasm for engaging with members of our community and fostering meaningful connections.
  • Ability to work independently for the majority of the week, demonstrating initiative, resourcefulness, and a results-driven mindset.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with exceptional organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to navigate the complexities of project management in a dynamic and evolving organizational landscape.
