The AIR MILES Reward Program is one of Canada’s most recognized loyalty programs, with over 10 million active collector accounts, representing more than half of all Canadian households.

AIR MILES collectors earn Reward Miles at more than 300 leading Canadian, global and online brands and at thousands of retail and service locations across the country.

AIR MILES is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Bank of Montreal (BMO). BMO is Canada’s oldest bank and the 8th largest in North America with more than 12 million customers globally.

Position Overview :

As Senior Product Manager, Mobile App, your role will be to define the strategic vision for the AIR MILES app and lead a team of product managers to bring the experience to life.

Reporting to the Director of Digital Engagement and Experiences, you’ll bring vision, passion, and impeccable communication skills to the role.

Thinking about customers and their needs is second nature to you, as is turning those needs into strategic opportunities that bring value to the business.

Like most Canadians, AIR MILES collectors spend a ton of time on their mobile devices, and you’ve got a ton of experience to back that up.

The mobile app will be the central experience for collectors within the AIR MILES program, so the roadmap you own will incorporate work from various business units and turn that into something that brings collectors back every day.

It’s not going to be a short or easy journey, but you have a proven track record taking big ambitious initiatives and breaking them down into smaller pieces that unlock value along the way.

Most importantly, you’ll use your finely-tuned stakeholder management skills to get others including your own team just as excited as you are as you bring your vision to life.

Responsibilities :

  • AIR MILES app collectors return more frequently than any other type of collector in the program, so the experiences you’ll work on are key to creating a simple, relevant, and engaging way for collectors to interact with AIR MILES on a daily basis.
  • As a Sr. Product Manager, you’ll focus the majority of your time building and supporting a mobile-first strategy for a variety of program experiences, getting stakeholder alignment, and empowering your product team to bring the strategy to life.

Your day-to-day will include :

  • Defining and leading the overall product strategy and roadmap for the AIR MILES app, including a shift towards thinking mobile-first across a variety of business lanes.
  • Switching effortlessly between tactical and strategic mindsets to deliver exceptional products that excite collectors and drive business value.
  • Leveraging platform insights to create compelling, data-driven solutions and feature sets.
  • Becoming the de-facto subject matter expert when it comes to the app; understand the competitive landscape and where we need to be to get ahead.
  • Get stakeholders excited about what you’re working on by owning core product messaging and go-to-market strategy.
  • Empower your team of product managers by removing roadblocks and challenging them to think beyond the next sprint.

Qualifications :

  • You bring 7+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, business development, or technology.
  • CSPO, MBA, or similar mix of certifications & experience are an asset but not required.
  • You have concrete examples of how you’ve brought digital experiences to life in the mobile space.
  • You’ve got the big three Product skills in spades : Passion, vision, and clear communication.
  • Experience in the loyalty space isn’t essential, but it’s a big plus.
  • You can confidently guide a product team to turn a vision into clear business requirements, and know how to sequence the work to maximize value for users.
  • You’re detail-oriented and understand the value of prioritization, so handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is a snap.
  • You can think strategically and execute methodically, and switching between the two comes naturally.
  • You’re driven by the idea of building relationships with stakeholders and inspiring confidence across multiple teams.
  • You know what it takes to turn complex data into digestible, straightforward narratives.

You take pride in owning a product and are ready to roll up your sleeves to get things done.

Salary : $92,400.00 - $171,600.00

Pay Type : Salaried

AIR MILES’ total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
