The Project Director leads smart building projects with a focus on energy efficiency and operational excellence. This role involves planning, managing client relationships, and directing a team to ensure successful program execution and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance building performance and achieve energy savings.
- Oversee all phases of project management, from initial planning through to execution.
- Manage the integration and setup of building systems.
- Control project schedules, budgets, and costs.
- Create detailed plans, estimate resources, and address potential risks.
- Monitor project progress, keep stakeholders informed, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Effectively deliver client programs, including managing plans, budgets, and objectives.
- Ensure timely and budget-compliant completion of programs.
- Lead risk management efforts and track program performance.
- Provide guidance and support to the project management team.
- Achieve financial targets through strategic planning and management.
- Optimize labor and cost management in collaboration with teams.
- Contribute to financial health and strategic planning.
- Understand and address client needs, offering additional services as appropriate.
- Develop strategies to capture new business and support client retention.
- Contribute to proposals and participate in events to enhance business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Resolve client issues and manage expectations.
- Keep clients updated on project status and goals.
- Lead and develop the project team, fostering an efficient and effective work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Over 10 years of experience in project and program management.
- Experience with building systems and energy management is advantageous.
- Project Management or similar certification preferred.
- Strong business acumen and financial management skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and ability to quickly learn new tools.

- Project Management certification.

- LEED certification.
