Position Summary :
Reporting to the Director National Field Sales, the Regional Field Sales Manager (Quebec / Atlantic) is responsible for identifying opportunities for maximum sales growth and account penetration within regional market.
The Regional Field Sales Manager will lead the Regional Field and Independent Sales Team as well as managing store level customer relationships.
Key Accountabilities :
- Provide leadership to the Field and Independent Sales Team to drive sales and volume for retail;
- Coach, mentor and develop the field sales team to ensure their professional development;
- Develop and execute the tactical plans to meet defined goals, including negotiating and approving store level sales opportunities;
- Develop and cultivate relationships with regional customers;
- Ensure comprehensive call coverage within the customers’ organizational structure;
- Lead execution targets and use of appropriate tracking and performance measuring tools to drive optimal performance;
- Standardize best practices to leverage across Field Sales Team;
- Measure performance, activities, results of sales team;
- Achieve annual sales growth targets;
- Advocate internally across departments to ensure appropriate support garnered for region to deliver against company targets;
- No restrictions on travel; must be able to travel within Quebec, as well as to Head Office (Markham, Ontario) as required.
Requirements :
- A university degree;
- Minimum 7 years sales experience in a CPG environment with part of that time leading / managing a sales team;
- Proven track record with delivering results;
- Excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills;
- Excellent verbal, listening and communication skills;
- Advanced computer skills including excel, word, power point and outlook;
- Excellent reporting and forecasting abilities;
- Ability to supervise and manage sales team;
- Ability to travel as required throughout Quebec, Atlantic region
